Data. It’s the lifeblood of your insurance business. It helps you to make decisions about premiums, reinsurance and risk exposure. It’s the key to improving your competitiveness and managing growth. Yet many insurance companies are working with legacy systems and thinking that get in the way of intelligent data collection, storage and reporting.

As insurance companies start to manage how they use and store their data, there are often questions and concerns such as:
–       Is our lack of business term definition preventing senior management from acting quickly?
–       Are we at threat of the regulator because our processes are not aligned?
–       Who is the custodian of the data when we move to the cloud?
–       Who is responsible for data governance? Are we compliant?
–       How can I access the information I need quickly to make more informed decisions?

Making sure you comply with regulatory requirements and have good governance on systems ensures you are agile in the marketplace, able to adapt quickly. This is because you can address emerging questions based on data that you are confident in.

But where do you start on the journey?
